NEXUS Trading Capital
Trading Rules & Account Terms
Version 1.0
1. General
These Trading Rules apply to all trading accounts provided by NEXUS Trading Capital ("NEXUS", "Company", "we", "us" or "our").
By purchasing, activating or using a NEXUS account, the Trader ("you", "your" or "Trader") acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Trading Rules, together with the applicable Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and other policies published by NEXUS.
The specific parameters applicable to each account are displayed on the relevant product page and form part of the applicable account terms.
2. Account Parameters
Each NEXUS account is subject to the parameters specified for the selected program.
These may include:
- Initial Account Balance;
- Profit Target;
- Maximum Daily Loss;
- Maximum Overall Loss;
- Leverage;
- Minimum Trading Days;
- Maximum Allocation;
- Profit Split;
- Payout Frequency;
- Maximum Position Exposure;
- Other program-specific requirements.
The Trader is responsible for reviewing the parameters applicable to their selected program before commencing trading.
3. Maximum Daily Loss
The Maximum Daily Loss is the maximum amount by which the account may decline during a single trading day.
For the purposes of calculating the Maximum Daily Loss, NEXUS may take into account:
- realized profit and loss;
- unrealized profit and loss;
- commissions;
- swaps;
- other applicable trading costs.
The applicable daily loss limit, calculation methodology and daily reset time are specified on the relevant account or program page.
If the account equity reaches or falls below the applicable Maximum Daily Loss threshold, the account may be considered breached.
The Trader is responsible for maintaining sufficient risk control at all times.
4. Maximum Overall Loss
The Maximum Overall Loss represents the maximum permitted decline of the account from its applicable starting balance or other reference level specified by the selected program.
If account equity or balance reaches or falls below the applicable Maximum Overall Loss threshold, the account may be considered breached.
The calculation methodology applicable to the selected program will be displayed in the relevant account specifications.
5. Permitted Trading Strategies
NEXUS generally permits legitimate trading strategies, provided that such strategies comply with these Rules and do not involve market abuse, manipulation, exploitation of technical conditions or other prohibited conduct.
Depending on the selected program, permitted trading activity may include:
- discretionary trading;
- scalping;
- swing trading;
- algorithmic trading;
- Expert Advisors (EAs);
- hedging;
- overnight positions;
- news trading;
- trading during volatile market conditions.
Certain activities may be restricted for specific programs. Traders must review the conditions applicable to their selected account.
6. Prohibited Trading Practices
The following activities are prohibited.
6.1 Latency Arbitrage
Trading strategies designed primarily to exploit delays between data feeds, pricing systems, execution systems or liquidity providers are prohibited.
6.2 Price or Data Feed Exploitation
The exploitation of incorrect, delayed, stale or erroneous prices, quotes, charts or market data is prohibited.
6.3 Platform or Technical Exploitation
The intentional exploitation of:
- platform errors;
- server errors;
- execution errors;
- pricing errors;
- connectivity issues;
- technical vulnerabilities;
- system malfunctions
is prohibited.
6.4 Cross-Account Arbitrage
Using multiple accounts, traders or related accounts to exploit differences in account conditions, execution or risk parameters is prohibited.
6.5 Group Hedging
Coordinated trading between multiple individuals or accounts for the purpose of creating offsetting positions or reducing the intended risk of the program is prohibited.
6.6 Reverse or Opposite Trading
Opening coordinated opposite positions across accounts or platforms for the purpose of exploiting NEXUS account conditions is prohibited.
6.7 Third-Party Trading
A NEXUS account may only be traded by its verified account holder.
Allowing another person to trade the account, whether for compensation or otherwise, is prohibited.
6.8 Account Sharing
The following activities are prohibited:
- sharing account credentials;
- transferring account access;
- selling an account;
- renting an account;
- allowing another person to operate the account.
6.9 Account Management Services
Trading an account on behalf of another person or using a third-party account management service is prohibited unless expressly authorized by NEXUS in writing.
7. High-Frequency and Automated Trading
Automated trading and Expert Advisors may be permitted where expressly allowed by the selected program.
However, automated systems may not be used primarily to:
- exploit latency;
- exploit pricing discrepancies;
- exploit technical errors;
- overload or abuse trading infrastructure;
- circumvent account restrictions;
- engage in prohibited arbitrage.
NEXUS reserves the right to review algorithmic trading activity where necessary to determine compliance with these Rules.
8. Copy Trading
Copy trading between accounts belonging to the same verified Trader may be permitted, subject to the conditions of the applicable program.
Copy trading between accounts belonging to different individuals is prohibited unless expressly authorized by NEXUS.
NEXUS may request reasonable evidence of account ownership where synchronized trading activity creates a legitimate compliance concern.
9. Scalping and Short-Term Trading
NEXUS does not prohibit legitimate scalping solely because a trade has a short duration.
However, trading activity primarily designed to exploit execution latency, pricing errors, platform vulnerabilities or other technical conditions is prohibited.
The fact that a trade is short in duration does not, by itself, constitute a violation.
10. News Trading
News trading may be permitted depending on the selected program.
Where a program contains restrictions relating to high-impact economic events, the applicable restricted period and instruments will be specified in the relevant program conditions.
Traders remain responsible for understanding the conditions applicable to their account.
11. Weekend and Overnight Trading
Weekend and overnight trading may be permitted or restricted depending on the selected program and instrument.
Where restrictions apply, they will be specified in the applicable program conditions.
The Trader is responsible for understanding market closure times, spreads, liquidity conditions and potential gaps.
12. Risk Management and Abnormal Trading Behaviour
NEXUS expects Traders to operate their accounts using reasonable and sustainable risk management.
NEXUS may review trading activity where there are reasonable indications of:
- extreme or disproportionate exposure;
- repeated account-threatening trades;
- unusually concentrated risk;
- intentional attempts to pass an evaluation through excessive exposure;
- repeated maximum-risk behaviour;
- trading activity inconsistent with the stated purpose of the program.
A review does not automatically constitute a violation.
Where possible, NEXUS will evaluate the Trader's overall activity and relevant circumstances rather than relying solely on an individual trade.
13. Consistency Requirements
Certain NEXUS programs may include consistency requirements.
Where applicable, the relevant consistency calculation and threshold will be clearly stated on the product page or within the Trader Dashboard.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, failure to meet a consistency requirement does not automatically constitute a prohibited trading activity or account breach and may instead affect eligibility for a particular benefit, phase or payout.
14. Profit Targets
Where applicable, Traders must achieve the stated Profit Target within the conditions of the selected program.
Profit generated through prohibited trading practices will not be considered valid trading performance.
Achievement of a Profit Target does not guarantee progression or payout eligibility if another applicable requirement has not been satisfied.
15. Payout Eligibility
A Trader may request a payout only after satisfying all applicable requirements of the selected program.
These requirements may include:
- completion of the required trading period;
- achievement of the applicable profit threshold;
- compliance with loss limits;
- compliance with trading rules;
- completion of identity verification;
- completion of any required compliance review;
- satisfaction of any applicable consistency requirements.
Payouts may be subject to the profit split and limits applicable to the selected program.
16. Payout Review
NEXUS may conduct a compliance review before processing a payout where reasonably necessary.
A review may include analysis of:
- trading history;
- order execution;
- account activity;
- trading patterns;
- account ownership;
- device or access information where legally permitted;
- relationships between accounts;
- suspected prohibited trading activity.
The existence of a review does not itself mean that a violation has occurred.
17. Account Breaches
An account may be considered breached where the Trader:
- exceeds the applicable Maximum Daily Loss;
- exceeds the applicable Maximum Overall Loss;
- violates a mandatory program condition;
- engages in prohibited trading practices;
- compromises account security;
- engages in fraudulent or deceptive activity.
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, NEXUS may:
- issue a warning;
- restrict certain account activity;
- suspend an account;
- reject an affected payout;
- terminate an account;
- terminate the Trader's participation in the program.
18. Material Violations
NEXUS considers the following examples potentially material violations:
- account sharing;
- third-party trading;
- latency arbitrage;
- price-feed exploitation;
- platform exploitation;
- coordinated cross-account trading;
- fraudulent activity;
- intentional circumvention of program restrictions.
Material violations may result in immediate account termination.
19. Fraud and Abuse
NEXUS maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward fraud and deliberate abuse of its services.
This includes, without limitation:
- fraudulent payments;
- chargeback abuse;
- identity fraud;
- falsification of documents;
- account ownership fraud;
- manipulation of account information;
- deliberate circumvention of restrictions;
- unauthorized use of another person's account.
Such conduct may result in immediate termination and may be reported to relevant service providers or authorities where legally required or appropriate.
20. Multiple Accounts
Traders may hold multiple NEXUS accounts only within the limits specified by the applicable program and maximum allocation rules.
NEXUS may review related accounts where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the accounts are being used to circumvent program restrictions.
21. Maximum Allocation
NEXUS may impose a maximum total allocation per Trader.
The maximum allocation may apply across multiple accounts and programs belonging to the same verified individual.
NEXUS reserves the right to refuse additional accounts where the applicable maximum allocation has been reached.
22. Platform and Execution Conditions
Trading is subject to market liquidity, spreads, execution conditions, slippage, commissions and other factors.
NEXUS does not guarantee that every order will be executed at the displayed price.
Traders are responsible for understanding the risks associated with market execution and volatile market conditions.
23. Trading During Exceptional Market Conditions
During periods of extreme volatility, market closures, extraordinary economic events, liquidity disruptions or technical interruptions, trading conditions may differ materially from normal conditions.
NEXUS may take reasonable measures to protect the integrity of its trading environment and systems.
24. Rule Interpretation
NEXUS aims to apply these Rules consistently and fairly.
Where a provision requires interpretation, NEXUS may consider:
- the wording of the applicable rule;
- the Trader's overall activity;
- the purpose of the relevant restriction;
- available trading and technical data;
- whether the activity appears intentional;
- whether the activity creates an unfair advantage or undermines the integrity of the program.
NEXUS does not intend to penalize legitimate trading solely because it is profitable, unconventional or different from the strategies used by other Traders.
25. Changes to the Rules
NEXUS may amend these Rules from time to time.
Material changes may be communicated through the website, Trader Dashboard, email or other appropriate channels.
The version applicable to a Trader will depend on the applicable program terms and the effective date of the relevant rule.
26. Rule Violations and Enforcement
Any breach of these Trading Rules, the applicable Account Parameters, or any other NEXUS policy may result in enforcement action.
Depending on the nature, severity, frequency and circumstances of the violation, NEXUS may, at its sole reasonable discretion:
- reject or cancel a pending payout request;
- withhold or decline profits associated with prohibited or non-compliant trading activity;
- place the account under review or temporarily suspend trading activity;
- issue a warning or impose additional trading restrictions;
- breach, suspend or terminate the account;
- terminate the Trader's participation in the NEXUS program; or
- in extraordinary cases involving serious misconduct, fraud, abuse, deliberate circumvention of the Rules, or other conduct that materially threatens the integrity or security of NEXUS, permanently ban the Trader from using NEXUS services and opening or maintaining additional accounts.
A payout request being submitted does not create an automatic entitlement to payment. All payout requests remain subject to verification and compliance with the applicable NEXUS Trading Rules.
NEXUS may consider the Trader's overall activity, the nature and severity of the conduct, whether the conduct was intentional, whether it was repeated, and any relevant evidence when determining the appropriate enforcement action.
A violation of one rule does not necessarily result in automatic account termination. NEXUS may determine the appropriate action based on the circumstances of each case.
Serious violations may result in immediate account termination without prior warning
NEXUS reserves the right to take appropriate action where conduct is reasonably determined to constitute an attempt to circumvent the purpose or integrity of the applicable Rules, even where the specific method of circumvention is not expressly listed as a separate prohibited practice.Â
26. Final Provision
By participating in a NEXUS program, the Trader acknowledges that successful trading requires compliance with both the financial parameters of the account and the integrity standards established by NEXUS.
NEXUS's objective is to provide a transparent trading environment in which Traders can use legitimate strategies while protecting the integrity, security and sustainability of the NEXUS ecosystem.
